One Technology created decision support-software called Helix™, which improved resource allocation in mid-sized companies. We used Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology, simulating evolution to solve large combinatorics problems.

One Technology raised $3.5M in outside investment, and operated for an eight-year period. In his role as President and Chief Scientist, Aaron developed the core technology

Selected Optimization Projects: 

Land Management: We optimized 4-year planting and rotation schedules for a farming operation with 180,000 acres, considering agronomics of thousands of regions, as well as central limitations of the processing mill. 

Portfolio Balancing: Our product had the unique capability to optimize decision-making simultaneously with assessing risk, combining decision support with monte-carlo analysis. 

Livestock Feed Formulation: Helix was able to blend ingredients to reduce costs while maintaining optimal nutrition for livestock operations with millions of animals. 

Manufacturing: A metals processing plant optimizes costs daily according to available fuel sources; we were able to improve operations by considering future jobs to improve purchasing decisions, enabling hedging on the spot markets.
